Privacy Policy
Last updated June 4, 2026
This policy explains what information Seedless collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We try to collect only what we need to run the product.
Who we are
Seedless is a clean-eating recipe and meal-planning app available at tryseedless.com. In this policy, "Seedless," "we," and "us" refer to the operators of the service.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your email address and, optionally, your name. We don't see or store your password.
- Content you create.Recipes you generate or save, meal plans, pantry items, grocery lists, ratings, and your household's diet, allergy, and goal preferences.
- Usage data.Basic, standard logs and analytics needed to operate and secure the service (for example, how many AI recipes you've generated this period).
How we use your information
- To provide the core product — generating clean recipes, planning, and grocery lists.
- To personalize recommendations based on your ratings and household preferences.
- To enforce plan limits and process subscriptions.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers we share data with
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run Seedless. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Vercel — application hosting and image storage (Vercel Blob).
- Neon — the database that stores your recipes and preferences.
- Anthropic and OpenAI — the AI models that generate recipes and dish images.
AI processing
When you generate or clean-ify a recipe, the relevant inputs (such as your prompt and your diet/allergy preferences) are sent to our AI providers to produce a result. We instruct these providers not to train their models on data sent through our API.
Cookies
We use essential cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can request that we delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing us — we'll action it within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain certain records.
Your choices
You can review and update your household preferences in the app, and you may request access to or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.
Children
Seedless is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above.
